User Roles
VCX uses two primary roles for your team: Administrator and Agent.
- Administrator: As a manager of the VCX instance, an Administrator can manage Agent access, set up card programs, and generate reports. Administrators are responsible for inviting new users to the platform.
- Agent: Agents are the users who issue virtual cards and monitor their transactions. They can only view the cards that they have issued.
Core Capabilities
1. Set Up Your Team (Administrators)
As an Administrator, you can build out your team by inviting users to become Agents in VCX. You have the ability to grant or revoke their access at any time.
Administrators can configure custom fields for their organization when a card is issued.
2. Issue and Manage Virtual Cards (Admins & Agents)
Once your team is set up, you can begin issuing virtual cards immediately.
When you create a card, you can set its:
- Amount
- Expiration Date
- Designated custom fields
To find specific cards, you can view a list of all cards created and filter them by:
- Card's Last 4 Digits
- Issuance Date
- Status
- Amount

3. Track Card Activity (Admins & Agents)
VCX provides clear visibility into all card activity.
- Transaction Details: You can view the full lifecycle of any transaction, including all relevant details from the payment network.
- Reporting: You can generate and export a Transaction Activity report for your records.
